Tinea unguium or ringworm of the nail is abnormalities of the nail plate which causeb by dermatophyte. T. rubrum and T. mentagrophytes ar the most common caused this infection.
Ringworm or tinea it self is fungal infection that caused by dermatophyte, and can affect skin anywhere on body part, include facial hair, feet, arms, legs, trunk, groin, hand, palm, scalp, face, and also facial hair. These fungi can only infect dead keratinized tissue and also only limited and is bounded by the dead cornified layer of the tissue.
