Tinea corporis or ringworm was infected in glabrous skin or hairless skin, such as the arms, legs, and trunk. Ringworm or tinea and also known as dermatophytosis are skin disease or skin infection caused by Fungus.
The most common cause of this skin disease is dermatophytes (skin fungi); these Fungi normally live on the superficial skin surface. These fungi can only infect dead keratinized tissue like skin, hair and nails. They are also only limited and is bounded by the dead cornified layer of the tissue. The dermatophytes invade and feed the dead keratin of nails, hair and skin.
Ringworm is a common infection that is often seen in areas with hot and humid climates. As with other fungal infections, warm and humid conditions help the spread of this infection.............(see more)
